     ****      HOW TO BACK-UP YOUR PC VISICALC DISK   ****

     The following technique will convet your VISICALC disk to a disk
that may be copied by "diskcopy". Diskcopy must be used because there
are four programs on the disk which do not appear in the directory.
DO NOT TRY TO ADD OTHER FILES TO THE NEW DISK.	Use of this procedure
does not relieve you of your responsibilities under copyright laws or
licensing agreements.

     Boot your DOS disk up on drive A: format drive b without copying
the dos system. (FORMAT B: (ENTER)). Then enter the following DEBUG
Commands:

[FOR SYSTEMS 96K OR OVER]

-L 100 0 0 80		(READS FIRST 16 TRACKS FROM A:)
-W 100 1 0 80		(WRITES 16 TRACKS TO B:)
-L 100 0 80 80		(READS NEXT 16 TRACKS FROM A:)
-W 100 1 80 80		(WRITES SAME ON B:)
-L 100 0 100 3E 	(COPIES THE LAST 8 TRACKS EXCEPT
-W 100 1 100 3E 	 FOR THE UNCOPYABLE SECTOR 13F)

[FOR SYSTEMS WITH LESS THAN 96K]

-L 100 0 0 40
-W 100 1 0 40

NOW YOU HAVE COPIED THE DISK: NOW PATCH THE 80-COLUMN PROGRAM LOADER/
DECRYPTER SO THAT IT WILL RUN CORRECTLY WITH SECTOR 13F FORMATTED
NORMALLY.

     All copies of the new disk should function exactly as the original
"copy-protected" disk. The serial number is unchanged. You may not legally
sell; give or load either the original disks, copies or documentation
